Aegon poaches AXA Elevate director for new platform

Aegon poaches AXA Elevate director for new platform

by William Robins Jan 27, 2012 at 00:01

Aegon has poached AXA Elevate’s business development director to lead sales of its platform as it prepares to launch a workplace offering.

Martin Coyle will join Aegon as head of platform sales and will work closely with newly appointed head of workplace sales Paul Healey, who was previously sales development director at Aegon.

Coyle (pictured) was business development director at AXA’s platform for five years.

Aegon platform director Gordon Greig said Coyle’s focus would be to maximise sales of Aegon’s at-retirement ARC platform. Healey will be responsible for the sales of the workplace element of ARC.

‘The pair will work together on the blend between the two platforms. Part of the point is that the two platforms were designed so that when workplace clients come to retire they can start on the other platform.’

The workplace platform will be launched towards the end of the first half of this year.

Indeed, Martin decided to leave us at the end of October 2011 to pursue other options after six years with the business development team. We wish him well in his future career.

Well you cannot say he doesn't like a challenge. It will be interesting to see how Novia business grows from Aegon's efforts.
